The deal with Bridgetown valued MoneyHero at approximately $310 million, according to an announcement on Thursday. Across five markets, MoneyHero operates personal finance websites Singsaver and Seedly in Singapore, Moneymax in The Philippines, MoneyHero in Hong Kong, Money101 in Taiwan and CompareHero in Malaysia. MoneyHero Group has yet to become profitable. In November, MoneyHero Group, or Hyphen Group before the rebranding, laid off employees and saw the departure of its CEO.

BERLIN, Aug 18 (Reuters) - Former Austrian chancellor Sebastian Kurz has been charged with giving false testimony before parliament, the Austrian prosecutor's office for economic crimes and corruption said on Friday. The conservative politician and his former chief of staff, Bernhard Bonelli, are accused of giving false testimony before the Ibiza committee of inquiry in the Austrian parliament "regarding the alleged corruptibility of his government," the office said in a statement. Kurz left office in 2021 after prosecutors placed him and nine others under investigation on suspicion of breach of trust, corruption and bribery with various levels of involvement. Since leaving office, Kurz has been working as a global strategist for tech investor Thiel Capital. Two venture capitalists have submitted a bid to buy the Phoenix Suns and Mercury professional basketball teams for $3 billion, an offer that could include financing from tech mogul Peter Thiel, according to people familiar with the matter and an offer sheet reviewed by The Wall Street Journal. The group is one of a handful of potential buyers, according to the people. Republican leaders and campaign officials, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., have reportedly asked Thiel to help Vance and Masters in the general election. Vance and Masters both worked with Thiel before they launched their Senate campaigns.
